Non-urgent advice: Help Us Help You

On average 42 patients per week don’t turn up for their appointment.

If you are unable to attend PLEASE let us know so that we can offer the appointment to someone else.

About us

Kingfisher Practice was founded over 40 years ago and opened its doors to patients in the Hounslow/Richmond areas as we are on the borders of both boroughs.

Our aim has always been to offer the most up to date family medicine to our patients. We are proud to be a well-established training practice for GP’s, many of whom, once graduated, have gone on to become a permanent member of our team or within the local area.

We strive to deliver consistently high quality care and we work closely with the local health and social care experts. This website has been designed with patient’s needs as priority – from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.

Our dedicated team are here to treat short-term illnesses as well as providing management of long-term conditions. We offer a wide range of enhanced clinics and private services. Our secure online services allow you to register with the practice, check your health records, order repeat prescriptions, make or cancel appointments – all in the comfort of your own home.

Once registered all our healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership extends even further and our Patient Participation Group (PPG) exists to make sure that patient’s needs and the practice offering are always headed in the same direction.

As a result of the pandemic, the NHS have made major advances in terms of technology. We are now recognising that telephone and video consultations are as effective, if not more so in certain situations. They also enable flexibility for both patients and Doctors without necessarily causing disruption to patient’s daily activities. We also appreciate that face-to-face appointments are important depending on the situation. We ask that you embrace the technology-friendly direction we are taking, which in turn will improve the services we provide for you.

Please be mindful of the need to be respectful and considerate to all out staff who are doing their very best to help during these difficult times.

We look forward to welcoming you to the practice.

Non-urgent advice:

We would like to remind our patients that all calls are recorded.

This is for staff & patient safety, training and monitoring purposes.

Our PCN works in partnership with the GP Surgeries to provide the Extended Access Service. This service helps to make more appointments available for patients in the evenings and weekends when practices are fully booked.  It also helps provide flexibility for patients who may need to arrange an appointment in the evening or at weekends if your practice is not open.
If you would prefer an evening or weekend appointment, please inform your practice of this when requesting an appointment, and they will try to arrange for you to be seen by the Extended Access Service where possible. You can also tell them if you prefer a telephone, video or face-to-face appointment.

How do I access this service?

Patients from Bath Road Surgery, Blue Wing Family Doctor Unit, Chestnut Practice, Green Practice, Hounslow Family Practice, HMC Heart of Hounslow, Hounslow Medical Centre, Kingfisher Practice, Redwood Practice and Willow Practice have access to the PCN Extended Access Service. Please speak to your practice or GP for more information.
